IEEE Power and Energy Society Student Branch of Sri Sairam Engineering College received USD 200 for the start- up fund from IEEE in Jan 2015.
Received two times USD 330 for ‘High Performing Student Branch Program’ for the year 2015 and 2016 from IEEE PES for the activities.
Our Student Kiran Raj was sponsored USD 500 fully by PES to attend the IEEE PES congress 2016 at Kualalumpur. Malaysia.

IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter conducted a student outreach programme for the students of Sairam Matriculation School, Tambaram on 29th July, 2016 on the topic “Solar & Wind Energy- Harnessing, Recent Trends”.
IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter conducted a student outreach programme for the students of SBIOA Model Matriculation Higher Secondary School, MogappairEri-scheme on the topic “Solar & Wind Energy- Harnessing, and Fuel Cells Recent Trends with the demonstration of Hydro-Car”, on 9th August, 2017.
On 21st April 2018, IEEE PES SB Chapter of Sri Sai Ram Engineering College celebrated the IEEE PES day 2018 in a memorable way. Dr. R. Azhagumurugan, IEEE PES SB Advisor, IEEE PES Day SB Chapter Ambassador, gave the technical talk on role of Electrical Engineers to get “More power to the future” as the theme of the PES day. A technical visit to the solar power generation at our campus is made.
